My ears did not burn, but that's interesting on a couple of counts. There were several other Sunset folk from our generation who ended up at Whitman, but I can only think of two other Whitman-folk from that period in the local extended SF/F community, and I don't know that I recall those two persons knowing each other....

And the poetry thing is fascinating, inasmuch as nearly all my efforts in that direction in recent years have gravitated strongly toward filk lyrics.
