I'm a writer (and editor, and DTP geek) - more by avocation than profession these days, but that's subject to change without notice pending opportunities. Over the last several decades (eep!) I've published a number of short stories and assorted nonfiction, and have been a book reviewer and columnist for Dragon Magazine, Amazing Stories (three different iterations), the print and online incarnations of Tangent, and various other publications. I've also done business and technical writing, press kits, speeches, proofreading, developmental editing, convention souvenir books and pocket programs, organization newsletters, speeches...and so on.

I'm a native Pacific Northwesterner, a lifestyle non-driver, a voracious reader, a filk fan & lyricist, and a Shakespeare/theatre buff, among other things. I am not, however, the "John Bunnell" who became a household name on Cops, a police-video TV host, and briefly a county sheriff (though I once found a message for my namesake from 60 Minutes on my asnswering machine).
