That said, you should all be even more impressed than you already are with the dedication of the TechGnomes at LiveJournal World HQ.
See, what I had not realized till the buyout news came in is that LJ World HQ is (for the moment) located here in scenic Portland, Oregon. And Portland has been more scenic than usual this weekend. Friday and Saturday (now bleeding into Sunday) we've been having our annual Ice Storm Of Doom.
The events of the Annual Ice Storm Of Doom are reasonably predictable:

Oh, yes. In the Department of Ultimate Irony, this year's Ice Storm Of Doom has occurred on precisely the weekend that the US National Figure Skating Championships are taking place here in town -- the one major civic event that wasn't cancelled.
In any event, the LJ TechGnomes deserve special bonus extra credit karma for getting the site back up in the midst of all this weather-chaos.
